need starcam?

Hello:
I have a renishaw type digitizing probe. I allready made a digitizing try using the 3d digitizing wizard included in Artsoft mach 3 control. I got a txt file which is a list of the points that I generated with it. My question is what I need to get a dxf file or similar to import it to Rynoceros and edit it as a surface?
Can I do it with Starcam? or what kind of software do I need?
Any help would be appreciate.

Yes Starcam probes very well (and fast), and outputs a 3d polygon mesh. But Starcam is a controller (not just software) running an embeded cpu and ram.

I'm currently out of my older system (years 2002-2010) and am developing a new board with a PIC32 processor and USB. It should be available by summer 2011.
