Hi Mike,
Can you make the SprutCAM project available for download or e-mail it to me and I'll take a look.
Dave
I'm getting this error message in SprutCAM:
"Access violation at address 009AE3C2 in module "SprutCAM.exe. Read address of 00000000."
Does anyone know what it means or how to work around it?
This is while attempting to set the state (compensation, etc.) for a curve from an imported DXF file in a 2-D contouring operation. The error popup refuses to go away no matter how many times the "OK" button is clicked and SprutCAM must be terminated from the Task Manager.
Thanks, Mike

Thanks Dave - I managed to get it to work with a different version of the DXF file. Do you still want to see the problem file? I only offer if you have some sort of masochistic desire to troubleshoot this sort of thing.
BTW, Sprut did an excellent job on programming the engraving

Hi Mike,
It's always worth sending this kind of thing to the software engineers at Sprut to get them to check it out.
It may well be a problem with the dxf file, but SprutCAM shouldn't behave in the manner that you describe, and needs altering to 'trap' that kind of error in future.
If you still have the problem project, either send it direct to Sprut or, send it to me and I'll forward it to them for you.......
The engraving looks very nice...........did you use the 'Engraving' or '2D contouring' operation for this?
Dave
Thanks Dave - I'll send it direct to Sprut.
I used the 2D contouring operation for this one. It was a piece of cake to generate once the DXF file issue was resolved.
