SC v1.30 and Tutorial questions.

I am trying to work my way through the tutorials from www.sprut.co.uk. Thanks to S4 monster I have been some progress. My results have been different from what I should be getting according to the tutorials.

Issue #1
While working through the "SC 2D Geometry Example (v4)" tutorial after creating the contours I am instructed to "chain" them together. Is this supposed to create one continous contour? Well in the case of the example three, the rectangle, the triangle, and the hole? I ask because mine doesn't seem to be "chaining" anything. I found this out when I moved onto the second tutorial, "2.5D Pocketing Tutorial (v4)." In that tutorial I am instructed to select the contours for machining. The example only shows three, k15, k16 and k33. Mine on the other hand shows a whole bunch. Which also brings me to issue #2.

**EDIT** I went back and tried the chaining command again and it worked this time around. When I selected the fourth side of the rectangle a small window popped up with "0 and 01" in it with no explanation of what it is. If I select "0" I get an error, if I select "01" my contours are chained and everything seems ok. What does "0 and 01" denote? **END EDIT**

Issue #2
While working through the "2.5D Pocketing Tutorial (v4)" I am instructed to select the curves and then define the "z level." The example shows this forming a solid rectangle. Mine just builds walls. I ASSume this is related to issue #1 and chaining.
