Default 4th axis getting the best of me

Trying to slot some flutes and can not for the life of me get the cutter to cut on the edge instead on the top.
New to 4th axis and could use some help.
I attached the g code that runs the bit on the bottom and the iges file.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Steve

I believe you are looking for this? Go to this page and select, mill machining/Operations for 4th axis and 5 axis milling/Rotary machining. Let me know if it works.

Im having the same issue.. Have spent 6 hours on this and still no luck. I can get the 4th axis to rotate using the transition mode (telling it how many degrees to turn) but thats its!

What operation are you using? Generally there is a tool orientation setting that needs to be set to fixed as opposed to base surface (don't quote me on the verbage as I'm away from the PC).

    Thanks for your reply Philly..

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it now seems to work,
It must have been some sort of software bug as i did exactly the same process after i reinstalled it and it worked. Im using windows 10 Pro 64bit.

    Cheers
    Shane
