    Lathe ZX (vertical lathe) question

I am trying to vertically lathe something on the tormach which requires three different type of operations. The cutting tool is mounted in a vise vertically like in the picture.

    1) trim off the OD. Workpiece is to the left of the tool (x coordinates are negative) and spindle is CCW. I got this part down by using another coordinate system that is in the same location as the global coordinate system, but rotated 180 degrees in the Z axis. Thus the x axis points the other way (note the red arrows).

    2) bore out the ID with the same tool. Workpiece is to the right of the tool (x coordinate positive). Spindle is CW. This part is ok too.

    3) I am stuck on this very last part. I now want to trim away at that little green highlighted section (job assignment) by having the workpiece to the left again and spindle CCW. However, sprutcam won't move the tool to the inside and would rather trim away at the outside edge as shown in the picture. What's up with that?

Edit: I got it to work by using the finishing contour option instead.
