I was working on a project this evening for which Sprutcam just would not generate a toolpath to remove the last bit of rest material in an irregular shaped cavity regardless of what operation, tool, or parameter I tried to change. I spent several hours on it before giving up and deciding to edit the CLDATA by hand tp move the cutter into the corners of the cavity that Sprut was ignoring. When simulating the result I noticed that when I ran the animated simulation everything looked good including my manual edits. But when I ran the fast "simulate by block" or "simulate to the end" tools, the simulator ignored my edits completely. I've always suspected these simulator buttons are not working with the same data because I often get different results depending on how I run the simulation. I've been blaming this on my graphics card but I think this proves they are not 100% coupled to the same data. I did send a bug report to Yuri about the rest material problem, though. - Terry
