Just wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue. Recently when I try to pick some curves for 2D contouring operations I get an error message that the "curve degenerates to nothing". That normally happens when straight lines connect curved contours. It's the straight lines it doesn't like. I'm running the same (latest Tormach) version of Sprutcam that I've always run. This just started ovvurring recently. I know some quirks can be overcome by reloading a file or restarting Sprutcam but nothing I've tried fixes this issue so far. |

| This message normally occurs when a face is picked for a curve instead of a edge, or for some reason the A axis has a value assigned to it. This can be checked by clicking on the setup icon (the little milling machine icon just to the left of job assignment) and looking at the A axis. |

| Thanks for the reply Eric. I verified that I am selecting a curve and not a face and that there is nothing in the "A" axis parameter. When I bring the model into a new Sprutcam file the curve selection (sometimes) works at first and then stops working later on if I need to pick the same curves again. I'm guessing that maybe there is something weird with my iges file!??? On another topic... I recently installed Sprutcam on a new laptop and now when I try to import a model I have a limited number of file types. Before I was able to select an Autocad Inventor file directly and "step" files but they no longer show up in the list of file types. |
