I noticed a new SprutCam version posted on their website in the past couple of days. I have downloaded, installed and ran a simple contour / hole drilling project with no issues.

I received only one notification from Tormach and that was a few weeks back after posting on some issues here. (I've owned SC a couple years) I tried to download from the Tormach FTP site but it would always fail on the last few bytes, never was able to download with success. The Russian site is slow sometimes but it works.
I just check the SC site now and then to get the latest official release.
