    Part access question

I have a question about a problem I often run into and maybe someone has a solution. When I import a workpiece as well as a part to make up my full model, the part is displayed, of course, inside the workpiece. This prevents me from selecting a surface on the part for a job assignment or, in a rotary fourth axis operation, the rotation angle. I've tried different combinations of element views - geometry, part, workpiece, and machining result, but none allows me access to the surface of my part. I must be missiing something. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks - Terry

    Later in the evening...

OK, I finally found it. Under the model tab, I just need to uncheck the workpiece, or fixture, or any element that I need to temporarily disable. This lets me view just the remaining elements. They need to me re-enabled before runnng the toolpath.
