Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone else here is having problems with the hole removal function with SC7? I have imported a DXF and need to drill several different size holes. Everything is fine until one attempts to use the recognize option in the job assignment menu. What happens is either SC stops responding and totally locks the system or one gets an error dialog indicating a call to OS fault. The later at least lets you close SC and try again. This bug occurs in build 32868 and 33840 on an XP pro system. Guess it's time to send a note to Russia.... ![]() In general I like SC but every couple of versions they tend to break basic features which have worked well in the past. I had several hole drilling issues in prior versions which I find very frustrating as it wastes lots of time, and does not leave an impression of quality control. I write software for a day job so understand occasional bugs but the continual breakage of basic function is not a good business model. In the mean time does anyone have the download link to a different version? Thanks, Robert |

| Thanks for the response Saabaero.... One of my versions is the release from Tormach, the other is a download from a few weeks back direct from SC. I wrote the issue up, took screenshots of the errors, and sent the project file with documentation to SprutCam. It's good for them to know of issues so hopefully they can prevent future escapes. Lastnight I found a work around doing manual assignments so at least the current project can move forward. ![]() Thanks, Robert |

There is source for download SprutCAM night build as Release CAndidate version, but have attention. RC version may be unstable. It is usefull to see fresh function at SprutCAM. URL to ftp folder is ftp://ftp.office.sprut.ru/Public/Spr...CAM_NightBuild . I'm sorry your problem, but you have incomplete knowledge about quality control for SprutCAM. There are lot of automation tests with project recalculations before issue fresh SprutCAM. If you are ready, we can add your project to automation tests . Other way is send e-mail to support@sprutcam.ru about your problem. And I think, you'll have good feedback ![]() With best regards d003 |

Thanks for the response...... I have sent the above info and more to SC this past evening concerning this issue. Yes, I have concerns about the quality control at SC and here is why. I originally purchased the program in Jan 2009. During this time I have reported several bugs most of which were basic features that flatly did not work. Yes, the support has been good which is the reason I continue to give mostly good reviews about the program and continue my updates. However, generally SC will get the issue fixed in an update but it then reappear in an almost identical form several versions later. I have had several very similar hole machining issues to this current one which is the driving source of frustration. With this said, I stand by my prior statement questioning quality control. I do like the SC program but when there are repeated bugs in basic functions from version to version it becomes much harder to remain positive as my dependence on a CAM program increases. Thanks, Robert |

We are glad to inform you the SprutCAM 7.07 is released. In the new build we've introduced some new features like support for turn mills with sub spindles and support for custom shape mill tools. And also we have fixed some minor and major bugs. The fatal OS error while recognizing holes you've been faced with is also fixed. (At least we think so ). |

| Live and Others, Received a note from Yuri at SC yesterday stating they found my bug in the hole machining routines. Last night I downloaded the latest version from the overnight build site. I ran a couple quick parts and from my initial test the bug looks to be solved. Like I mentioned before I do like the SC package and the support has been very good. Thanks Everyone, Robert |
