Hitachi WJ200-022SF, options

Just received a Hitachi WJ200-022SF.
Wired to the Manual Enco knee mill first to make sure all the bugs are out before wiring it to the Bridgeport CNC.
This is a Version 3 WJ200.
Have it wired to 220 single phase power on input and wired three phase to 1.5 HP motor (1.1 kW).

When I ran thru the initial parameters I only get "A, B, C, D + F". I don't get any "H" functions at all.
A001, SET to 02
A002, SET to 02
A003, SET to 60.0

A082 (does not appear in menu. It skips over A082 so I couldn't set "AVR Voltage Select".)
B012 (does not appear in menu. It skips over B012 so I couldn't set the motor current.)
H004 (does not appear in menu. It skips over "H" functions completely) Unable to set number of poles in motor.

Just trying to run it manually at this point, hoping to connect to ModBus when I get this issue straightened out.
I went ahead and ran the motor after inputting the options it would take.
Checking the motor speeds with a tach, it appears to be close to correct at 25-30 hz. (running near half speed).
It gets a shrill sound above 35 hz, so I haven't gone any higher.

Has anyone else experienced the missing parameters issues?

Check out parameter b31. It restricts what parameters can be set by default. For configuring I think you will want to set it to 10. Also check out b37 as it controls what is displayed.

Haven't had a chance to change the option yet, but thanks for pointing this out to me.
Thirty pages of options is a little overwhelming when you are itching to make something work,
not to mention those tidbit lines are on page 390 of a 671 page manual.


NOTE: Mark “” in b031=10 shows the accessible parameters when b031 is set “10”,
high level access.


* Please change from"04 (Basic display)" to "00 (Full display)" in parameter
b037 (Function code display restriction), in case some parameters cannot be displayed.

Shrill noise with Hitachi WJ200-022SF and Enco mill 1.5 hp motor.

Used the B037 to display the missing parameters.
I have programmed all the options as specified for my spindle motor.

I still get the shrill noise just as it goes to 30.0 Hz, then drops off going down to about 25 Hz.
Slowly adjust to 30.0 Hz and just as I go from 29.9 to 30.0, the shrill noise returns.

I guess that may be my limit, unless someone has an option for me to try.
