That has been solved for a while now by taking out R19.

I have developed a simple way to bypass the MC60 motor controller requiring returning to zero speed before starting.
Simply place a 100uF/50v cap between the black and white terminals with the negative leg on the black.
The cap acts as a temporary short, simulating turning the speed to zero. Now you can set the speed, turn it off, turn it back on without changing the speed setting.
My next project is to control the MC60 from a 0-10v spindle speed signal like from Mach3. I have the parts, just have to build it and test it. It is an opto isolated linear amplifier taking 0-10V signal from a paralell break out up to 0-18.8v expected on the potentiometer wiper input on the MC60 controller.

So, for you guys that know a lot more than me....
I have been using a MC-60 for a while now in stock form, needing to turn the pot to 0 to start. It would be nice to not have to do this every time and be able to restart at the previous rpm. However I have a question. When you start this way does the controller do any kind of ramping when it starts, or is it like an old router where, bam!, it goes to the set rpm immediately?
Also, how do you turn it off? Do you just put a switch inbetween the wiper leg of the pot and the board?
If you power on/off from the supply input it will ramp up.

I only know the through-hole resistor version, R19 is right next to the Pot terminals and is 15k.
