    Default Huanyang VFD - again

Hate to beat a dead horse, but.

I have a 2.2kw Huanyang vfd, or should I say a second one, toasted the first.I'm looking to use it on an industrial slicer. I wired the first one and set what I believed were the necessary parameters. Motor worked FWD/REV, stop, etc.
Onboard pot would not function. I only want to use this vfd to slow down the slicer. Parameters were set as follows:

    PD000 lock 0
    PD001 source 0
    PD002 source 0
PD003 main freq ? can't remember, there is only an asterisk in manual, however if settable I used 60hz
    PD004 base freq 60
    PD005 max op freq 60
    PD006 Interm. Freq 2.5
    PD141 Motor Volts 220V
    PD142 Current 15 FLA
    PD143 Poles 4
    PD144 RPM 1740

    Motor: 1 hp Leeson 220V, 60hz, 3P, 4 pole, 1740 rpm

Jumper was set, I think, for the onboard pot. Pot would not function. Rpm was exceeding 1740 so I shut it down.
Set PD004, base freq to 0.01 and vfd made a loud unpleasant noise when run pressed. I would like not to hear that
noise again so any help would be appreciated.

003 could be set at 60, that is the start up speed, adjustable with the buttons or pot.

004 should be set to 60

    142 seems a bit high, should be motor nameplate amps, around 3.2 - 3.6 or so for a 220V, 1HP, 3PH motor..

Don't confuse FLA with locked rotor amps or fuse amps.
