Is this VFD Spindle a good upgrade?

Recently, the PC75182 "3.5HP" "spindle" on my 4x4 CNC router let the smoke out. Before that, it sufficed but the power was less than optimal. Since we don't want to upgrade to 3 phase power (we have 220 single phase already) and want to use a quality VFD, it seems that we are limited to 2.2kW/3HP. Would this be a good upgrade, or more of a sideways move?
