What about PD023 Should be set to 1 for rev run enable.

Correct he would need to set that Parameter for reverse operation, the problem is Clockwise is standard and For connection, used with M3, so it looks like he has been running his spindle CCW which would be REV and M4

He has some setup to change and may be some wire connections
