DataWorks:: Solidworks Design and Mfg Automation with Mastercam output.

DDG has a new release on a suite of utilities designed to automate Solidworks and Mastercam. I am currently seeking people to test the new release in exchange for a free license of DataWorks. The new release only works with SW 2009 and above and Mastercam X4mr2 and above.

I have run into some flack from other sites regarding my intentions with this project, and I would like to make some things clear as a result.

I am not trying to sell anything here. This is a free beta program and based on the interest received in the beta, I intend to set these tools up as an open-source project.

This project has been in development for nearly four years, and has been the primary source of income for myself and the other developers.

That said, I have a "more than full time" job at present and no longer have the desire or facility to continue marketing/selling/integrating/supporting it.

I just feel that it would be a sad thing to let it disappear quietly and want nothing more than the possibility to see it continue to evolve.


Not sure about where to keep this post either, and since it has components based in both SolidWorks and Mastercam- I have an identical post in the Mastercam forum: Moderators please advise......
