i am trying to make a template but i keep getting this message

(A document which references other documents may not be saved as a template)

is there some way i can brake up these references?

in the top of the tree creation (feature manager)
right click, listt alll external ref
delete or break all

i tried what you said, but it is like is only for part mode

can you try open a assembly. and then try save as template
