Metal Forming ????

Hey guys,
I am in the makings of drawing a part and i am still a bit new at this and was wondering how i would form a part such as putting an arc in a material.

To give an idea of what im doing im trying to form a custom cowl hood on a vehicle...

Are you needing info on drawing it in solidworks or making it in real life?
Solidworks has a hood scoop in the design library under sheetmatal/lofted bends... that might help you get started. Well at least it is in the 06 library .

As for making it in real life here is an example of "bump bending" with a pressbrake. This is how "we"(the brake operators a work) form parts with large radii... the only problem is i am guessing it will be tapered to... which becomes a pain to form and hold tolerance.
