| Can anyone tell me how to get a spaceball to work in Solidworks? I know there's a download specifically for SW on the 3D Connexion site, and I have it, but I still haven't figured how to get the spaceball to work. I works for Surfcam. I have a 4000 FLX with the appropriate drivers from 3d Connexion. Thanks, Bill |

| If you know someone with a student ID, you can go here and get a new 5000 for $199.00 http://www.journeyed.com/itemDetail.asp?T1=31886423 |

| Bill, I think the only difference is they improved some minor sensitivity issues. Also, beware, there is no such thing as a USB 4000. If you see someone advertizing a 4000 flx USB, they are lying. Only 5000's have the USB option. I read on connexion's site or a related site that they produced a bunch of USB 4000's and they had a serious flaw. Someone stole them before they could be destroyed, and has been selling them on online auctions. Regards, Dalen |

| Dalen, thanks for the heads up. I haven't seen any USB 4000's on eBay yet, but I probably don't need a USB spaceball anyway. The 4000 FLX works great. Both Solidworks and Surfcam like it! Bill
