BOM - need to put in material

I have photoworks materials on about 252 tiles, about 6 different types of colar.

Question is can someone show me how to get that material callout/texture to show up in BOM?

I have not defined the material in each part, I have only changed the appearance, in photoworks. So thats the thing I need to show up in the BOM.

Is there a work around if not, like just add the material type in part notes? if so where would i put that, and what equation would i put to callout those notes?

Basically its a tile layout, client wants to know how many of each type of tiel to order.

    Thanks R!

    Hi Rich,
No experience with working with Photoworks, but as a work-around you could use this method:
Set your material type in the feature tree.
Create a drawing that contains at least one view that has all the Tiles in it.
Select that view with all the Tiles in it and create an Excel based BOM in your drawing that contains the "MATERIAL" column and this will import the material used in the model.
One of the standard BOM templates from SW should be able to give you what you need. I used the "bomtemp-material.xls" file from the "C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\lang\english" folder.
    Hope that works for you.
    Regards
    Brian.
