Turning tube into sheet metal part?

    Hi guys
What are the steps to flatten out this part into a sheet metal part. I need to print this out and wrap a tube for a cut pattern.

    Thank you

i would start out sheet metal then do your cuts then flatten..

when drawing it make sure to draw a arc and leave .005" gap at the end of arc. this will allow it to flatten

draw an arch lets say 359.99 deg, (you have to leave a seam) then you extrude the arch using sheet metal feature instead of the solid feature. then do your cuts on the tube, i recommend using normal cut if you want the edge of the cut to be square.
