I have been practicing making parts from the tool box. Now when i make the thread the options are simplified / cosmetic and schematic. Is there an option to get helical (actual) threads. they only show as circular on the actual part. Or do i take the basic screw part use that as a template to draw the helix and cut threads? -see attached part straight outta toolbox |

| no there is no option to get actual helical threads on a screw. There are very few reasons to actually model a screw to that detail. All of the modeling I've ever done that has had complete hardware lists, have had cosmetic screws only. I want them there simply so the fabricator [or shipper] know's how many to include. They are also visual for renderings.. but thats it..
