    sw2007 to autocad 2006

    hello gents, has any one got an idea how to convert part file sw2007 to auto cad 2006 please.

    Are you talking covert it as a 3D file for autocad? I know that Solidworks won't save dxf/dwg as 3d.. what file types can you open? Stl, Iges [IGS], Parasolid etc?

    There will be one of them that crosses over I'm sure..

    .sat is all AutoCAD will let you bring in.

    AutoCad won't open an IGES format?

    I think it used to back in Version 14 or earlier, but not in 2000 or newer, without an add-on or plugin.

    ok gents thank very much for help , i found another better way to convert to auto cad a 3d solid model through master cam 9.1 i bring from sw2007 to mc9.1 as step file, the i save from mc9.1 as auto desk file , then i can easly open in auto cad as a 3d solid
    thnx again
