Nice quick rendering software Hypershot for SW. first impressions.

Just thought I would pass this along. http://www.bunkspeed.com They have a free demo.

I think it looks allot better than photoworks. Tell me if you like it! You can just open the SW model or assembly. Click on a few materials and render.

Look under Hypershot. I would be really interested to hear others experiences with this software. It seems to have great potential for making photorealistic renderings without too much headache and time.

    R.

i must give that a try, thanks.
Another great renderer is Maxwell, it is no what you would call quick but for photo realistic images it is supposed to be one of the best. I'm only learning to use it but it has a great plug-in for SW. http://www.maxwellrender.com/

Maxwell render looks great. It looks like you allmost have to go to school for it to learn it though. Tell me please if you have any luck with it. Hypershot I was able to render in about 10 minutes after reading the hotkeys.

I would like to know Maxwell renderer though. Maybe will look for a book on it.

I just made an 8 Core PC for rendering. Lookign to cut my teeth on professional images.

There is a free manual for maxwell and a free demo also. The plug-in will work for solidworks even in demo mode which is cool. I'm new to rendering overall so i'm still getting to grips with Photoworks. Maxwell looks to have a great material library and the fact that they encourage sharing the materials is great.
Best of luck with the new rendering machine, I'm stuck with a single slow processor.
As far as i know if you want professional maxwell is the business, and i am not a sales person

    Hi Rich05,

No chance yet, been busy lately Will try and play around with it soon. I'm still learning to use photoworks in solidworks. I have seen some work done in Maxwell through solidworks and it is very impressive. Once i get to grips with photoworks i'll put more work into it.

I'll let you know how i get on with it.

Finally getting back to this, i tried Hypershot but to my despair my PC does not meet the minimum requirements to run it.
Looks like I'm stuck with photoworks and extremely long render times with maxwell, which to be honest i don't have the patients for.
