    Custom skins/textures?

    Do Solidworks allow to use a photo to apply it to a featrure?
    Like for example you have a photo of a keyboard and you extrude a rectangle and paste the jpeg to a face just for visualization purposes.

    Hello,

    Sure thing.

    You can insert a bitmap onto a plane or planar surface using insert picture in the sketch tools menu.


    Or...

    Add it as a decal, this is more flexible for you can wrap the decal on a surface and control the display properities of the picture/image.

    Check the help file, I had to, there's plenty of info there.
