Hi I`m trying a few CAM packages and everytime I import a 3D model its orientation is incorrect. How do you change the default xyz directions in Solidworks. I`d like as an example the top view to have the Z axis moving in and out from the PC moniter. It seems most CAM packages have that as the standard orientation for some strange reason SW does not. Thanks RaveBoy |

| I think Darebee had the best method. Create a new coordinate system (XYZ) in the orientation you want. Save/Save as/Export the file and make sure you select the checkbox to use the new coordinate information. pix
