I'm trying to work out how I can put a chamfer on a part as per the first photo. When I try, I can only put the chamfer along the whole side and not just the small section as indicated. My second problem is I want to extrude the part as indicated in the second photo. Anyone point me in the right direction? |

| johnTH Attached pics should help. 1 Create sketch on end of hinge and Cut-Extrude with offset. 2 Create sketch on top of hinge, highlight the top profile and extract edges, then extrude. Last edited by Kiwi; 03-06-2008 at 03:10 PM. Reason: Key word missed |

| Another option for the chamfer would be to use "split line" command to break the edge at the desired length. Then you will have an edge to install a "Chamfer" feature on.

| There is a function during the cut to follow an edge. See the picture below. Select that box, then click an edge that you want the cut to follow and voila... Jerry
