extruding .gif icon

I have a company logo that I want to turn into extruded text on a plane. I could trace the text but there is a couple of ellipses that I want to cut. The best I can think of is to convert it into a DXF or DWG in ACad and then translate that into Solidworks but that seems to be a lot of work! My ultimate goal is to toolpath the icon in Surfcam so I can engrave it.

Have you tried any of the conversion programs:

and there was a reference a few weeks back for an online vectorizer - you enter your graphic - maybe bring it in as a jpeg - then play on line - free.

Thanks High Seas. I did download the demo rasterfraz and I had to do some work to the image, but your answer helped me a lot.
