    Solidworks sheetmetal parts exporting

I have a problem when exporting a solidworks sheet metal part to the nesting program sigmanest, it seems I am getting a part exactly half size and I can't figure out what is going on, I can bring a solid model in and it is the right size, thickness and shape, but bringing in a sheetmetal part I get it half size, is there a setting in solidworks that will make this happen?

I would assume you are importing a 2d dwg or dxf (you should be).
You need to have your sheet scale of your slddrw set at 1 or else a rescale will be required (as you have found).

Into sigmanest I can import a .sldprt, or a .sldam, to creat a part for laser cutting. but as I said a solid part comes in fine but the sheetmetal part comes in half size....but I will check the sheet scale of a .slddrw, good point.

I did forget to mention that I am susposed to be able to bring in a solid folded sheetmetal part, and then the translator turns it into a unfolded flat part.

I can be of NO help to you on Sigmanest issues.

I DO Know that sending 2d files out of SolidWorks saves them at whatever scale the view on the sheet is set at.
I have had miniature parts supplied to me in the past - Doh.
I also know that when working with parts that only need 2 - 2.5D CAM it uses very very little system resources and computing time when only dealing with "stick" drawings as opposed to models/surfaces.

    Sorry

I'd be addressing your questions to Sigma.. as it would appear it's a problem w/ their importing function. Is it possible there is a mm to inch issue or something? SW model's everything 1:1 so if it's importing the actual sldprt file.. then chances are it's not a sw issue..
