Delete the .txt extention and you can open with SW.
Just learning Solidworks. Have 3 files here in dxf format. Can any of you pro's model these for me in Solidworks so I can look at it and then get idea of how to go about creating these models. Most of the parts we make are similar to these. I just purchased Solidworks 2007.
Thanks in advance

nicely done Kiwi.. I was about to do a model but I won't bother now.. one thing I'll note for brtlatjgt is the need for constrained sketch's. Kiwi has taken the dxf data and just imported it into SW. This works fairly well, however it's a good practice to constrain your sketches where possible.. it will save you some headaches later in the game.
Also, you noted you do many of the same types of parts. It's possible that you could draw one part and model it with many different sizes from that one model. All of it would be driven by a excel spread sheet. It'd save having to model each one on it's own. I've used this functionality for various things and it works great.
Best..
