I'm new to this forum and am fairly new to SW. I searched through the forum but haven't run across this one. I have been trying to format the drawing sheet template and everything saves fine except 3rd angle projection. Everytime I try create a drawing it defaults to 1st angle. Does anyone here know how I can get it to default to 3rd angle. Thanks Jeff |

| Are you saving the drawing as a 'template' as well as the 'sheet format'? I'm never had this problem when I save both of them at the same time. Jerry

| Ya, just go file/save as and select 'drawing template' then save it to the folder where the rest of your templates are located [usually they are default to the template folder under solidworks [might be under data/templates I can't remember]] I don't use the default folder as I have my own folder on our server. If you want to creat a template folder outside the SW folder just make sure to go through 'properties/file locations and point to the folder you've created. HTH Jerry

| As well as drawing templates you can save part and assembly templates with your preferred settings. We use an add-in called Property Links that fills in most of our title block automatically and the rest is simple drop down fill in the blanks - keeps things really consistant (and pretty)

| Fill me in on this add-in Darebee! I use the property function in part, assm's and drawings files regularly and then link these to the lines [as needed] in the Sheet format as well as BOM's and Weldment Tables. What am I missing? Jerry
