    Any good Books?

    Does anybody know any good books on learning the basics of using Solidworks?

    Hi , If you start now You'll just have to read the manual and starting book that are inside SW

    True, this is the only resource I used to learn. It's pretty complete.

    Goto help in solidworks and goto online tutorial. That will give you step by step help.

    I highly reccomend the book....Inside Solidworks by Murry. I purchased it on Amazon.com for about $80.00

    I agree with dmealer. After going thru the tutorial, Inside Solidworks is an excellant resource.

    I have used the books by Sham Tickoo
    You can find his books on any of the major book stores
    Boreders, Barns & Noble, Etc.
    His books go step by step through just about all the stuff you need.
    there are also books that you can order for advanced stuff like welds, sheet metal, and molds these are areas that are not typicaly covered by his general book
    I have used his books for Solidworks, Catia, Pro-E wildfire, & Autocad inventor 9 and have not found any books that are better
    The books teach like you were in his class room
    and there is also support from the company on projects in the books.

    The "Dummies series" has recently brought out "SolidWorks for Dummies"
    These are supposed to be great books.

    No books but If you have DSL look at http://www.cadpo.com/home/elearning/igetit.asp\
    I have used there service for a year and will renew.
    It's the only way to go after you have done all the totorals.
