I'm pretty new to SolidWorks and I haven't been able to figure out how to do the following yet and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a side for a cabinet I have designed and I would like to either mirror the extruded cuts to the other side of the plane without keeping the original cuts or reverse the cuts on the current side. So that the cuts on the left and right side line up when in place. Can this be done? |

| Two thoughts immediately come into mind: 1. Mirror Part- You can generate a new mirrored part about a reference axis. Click on the axis that you want to mirror about and then to go Insert->Mirror part. It will generate a new part that you can save, and will update that part if any changes are made to the original part. 2. Edit the sketch plane and change the direction of the extrusion. Right click on the sketch, select edit sketch plane, and then select a different face. You can then right click on Cut-Extrude, select edit feature, and change the direction of the cut. I hope this helps. -Matt |
