| I followed up on it, too. I am now enjoying the tutorial. I could easily sucker in for this one, if only I could justify it. I can see it has great strength in creating and manipulating assemblies. I don't actually create assemblies very often though, most of my stuff is single part modelling which I can do in OneCNC. What do you other experienced machinists do? Is Solidworks overkill, especially if your cadcam already allows you the basic solid and surface modelling functions?

I believe many machinists/programmers would do sufficiently with the CAD portion of their CAD/CAM software. But agreed, the assemblies and motion available with SW is very nice. 'Rekd
