    Mating parts between assemblies?

I need to get some hoses that have fittings and so forth that are part of thier own assemblies to mate to pumps in the the main assembly, not getting mate option to allow me to do so.

Is there a setting to change? How can I mate parts between assemblies. Thanks!

Edit is the trick to make the sub assembly flexible?

What is keeping you from mating? At what point do you reach a roadblock?

To make an assembly flexible, right click the subassembly listing in the feature tree, select Properties (top right icon in the popup), and then check Flexible.
