you need CAM software. look at mach 3 for a good starter, they have a trial download I think.
What's uP guys? First post here...just picked up an emco pc mill 50. I've been playing around with solidwOrks and I like it a lot better than the program that came with the machine. How do I get from solidworks to G code?
I've searched around, but haven't been able to find exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

try KCam, EMC2, Mach3, TurboCNC,and other CNC related software links. to start finding research/evaluation pointers-check as many as you can to see what fits your projects and feels good to usekman
The program that It came with is wincam. How do I get it to work?
Wincam is on a floppy. I'm waiting for the floppy to USB converter to get here so I can't play around with it yet.
do you mean WinNc, check out Machines*EMCO lathes and milling machines for CNC turning and milling I think they have 30 day demo/try-out versions. I have full connections over RS232, but use different systems per customer requirements-kman![]()
