    Applying surface textures

I'm working on a model that will eventually be a wood carving, that includes a brick wall. I'd like to include a rough brick-type 3D texture, but really wouldn't like to draw every little imperfection on each brick! Is there any way to do this right in SolidWorks? I see MasterCAM has a software package that can add textures after the CAD work. Is doing this in the CAM software the way to go? If so, any recommendations on less professional (read: more affordable) software to use? Thanks for any help!

There's no way I know of in SolidWorks - all of the Texture features are 2D.

I have seen it done on the CAM side, like you have said. ArtCAM mostly, but I haven't looked into others.
