    How to?

I have a step file of a part that I want to get the dimensions for. My question is, are they in there, and, how do I get them out?. I need to make AutoCad 2000 2D images. My client does not have SolidWorks anything, and only understands common 2D blueprints, and I need help quick. Can anyone advise??

Open the step file in SW.
Save the file as a SW part.
Start a new drawing and insert the newly created part and dimension the views as required.
Save the drawing as a .DXF or .DWG.

(By AutoCad 2000 2D images i think you mean a file that ACAD recognizes)
