    Development Question

I recently had to do a job for a customer which consisted of 68 'Fan Blades' radially mounted (See Pictures)
The actual fan blade was made from 3mm Stainless Steel and incrementally folded on a Press Brake.
I am still learning Solidworks and I didn't have the required knowledge to do it
So I had to use the old fashioned way using triangulation and development (A dying art now!)
I am sure it must be quite easy to do in Solidworks, any ideas?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi.

try to do it this way:

1: model the two rings as solids

2: make a lofted surface between the two rings with the profile of the fan balde

3: thinken it to 3mm - make sure to uncheck ''merge result'' (so you will have 3 solid bodies)

4: make a cirkular pattern with the fan blade body selected in ''bodies''

5: combine it to one solid.
