I have been doing research on selling "used" solidworks, it doesn't look too good. But what if the software was never installed? The company I work for has purchased it and were finding that there are more appropriate programs to use rather than that. It is still sitting in the plastic case and has never been installed on a computer.
You'd need to call them and ask if the license is transferable.

Before buying SolidWorks I asked them about selling it. What they told me was that they don't like people trying to "sell it on eBay" and probably will not allow you to transfer the license. They did say, however, they have granted a license transfer to people who "have done business with such and such shop and would like to transfer the license to them".
I hope I never need or want to sell my seat because it sounds like the ability to transfer your license hinges upon your situation, or at the very least their perception of your situation. It also sounds like it very-well could depend on the whim of whoever you end up talking to. Sounds like an unfair system to me.
