    Which Quadro

Both have current drivers for Solidworks 2010.

I have both sitting here and don't know which one to pick?

    Quadro FX1500

    Quadro FX3450/4000 SDI

The 1500 has the slower core frequency, but Nvidia did something funky here, gaming graphics cards with the same core run higher core frequencies. Maybe it's been downclocked for stability or power consumption reasons?

The 1500 has higher memory frequency and bandwidth.

I would probably chose the 1500, as it may be a bit more stable.

But then again, there could be almost no difference.

Perhaps you could use something like RivaTuner to crank the core frequency up a bit on this card?

    I have machines with both.
I have no issues with either card but have never done any sort of speed testing and both PCs are different anyway.
The 1500 is newer architecture and I would chose it first.

Any chance I can buy whichever one you don't use? I have a Quadro 350 (or 400?), I think, in my machine now.

There's a great comparison chart of all the cards in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Quadro#PCI_Express

After reading this I softmodded my Geforce8800 GTS into Quadro 4600. Solidworks started to look different. Not sure about if faster or not.

I have no experience with Quadros.

I installed and used them back to back on a xw8200 workstation. The 1500 was slower on zoom and rotate so handed it down to a shop floor pc.
