Tutorial for simple lasercutting?

Hi guys.. I pretty new here, and i'm from denmark so sorry for any bad english...

My friend works at this firm who does lasercutting...
And he is suppose to do a lot of lasercutting for me
Then i tells me it will be cheaper to design it my self using SolidWorks...

So i got the solidworks... Now i just gotta learn how to use it....
So where can i find a tutorial about the stuff i need to know?

Just how to make a drawing and then say "That stays! and that cuts away"

i do alot of that.. just go into your drawings and make your part and save it as dxf.. if you do this then a company lazer programmer dont have to do it
