Stretch diagram in one dimension only. | | Found SE 2D after downloading a number of free CAD. I'm a very new CAD user - no connection with CNC, but working with somebody who produces die cut sheet metal profiles. I have enjoyed exploring SE 2D and finding all the magic buttons. Magic when I think of what I had to do when I was a pen and ink draftsman in The Olden Days. SE 2D does exactly what I want, except for this one requirement.
I'm drawing some simple shapes that need to be 'stretched' in the horizontal dimension only. Here's one. Imagine a rectulangar piece with a number of equal "sine wave" type curves, joined by tangent lines, along the top edge. The piece has square sides and base. Like a ruler with wavy lines on one long edge only.
When 'stretched', the piece needs to retain the same number of curves, increased equally. The vertical distance needs to remain the same. Like a longer ruler with longer wavy lines on top.
Found Stretch tool - stretches the piece but only lengthens the component crossed by the fence. Found Scale tool - enlarges in both dimensions.
I've hunted for other options but can't find anything. So I'd appreciate it if anybody can help.
