Solidcam 2009 2.5 milling tutorial uncertainties.

    Hi.
I have been doing the SC2009 2.5 milling tutorials, the one involving Excersize3 file.
So to understand the toolpaths I have paid closer attention at the steps 17-22, pages 105-109.
I was trying to understand the "Technology" parameters and I believe I did everything as in the tutorial and wanting to understand more about how "Clear Offset" works I took gradual measurements after each tool pass on the profile and got this 0.1 discrepancy in the end.

The stock model is 2 offset from the target model and taking a measurement from the stock to the target model's profile yields 6 units.

However after Solidverify the measurement gives 6.1 units.

    How is this explained?
    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Solid Verify isn't like Solidworks. All you have measured is the distance between the two points that you created and not the distance between the faces of the part. It just happened to be close I think.
