SolidCAM & Autodesk Inventor

I see that SolidCAM offers their software to integrate into Autodesk Inventor, do any of you have experience of this combination? I use Inventor and am looking for CAM softare for our new VMC and thought this might be a pretty neat solution.

SolidCAM have hade integration with Inventor for about 3 years now. I haven't used it but I know that there are people using this combination here in the UK. Talk to SolidCAM UK and I am sure they would be able to put you in touch with someone.

I think the InventorCAM package has been very good and we have not seen many issues with InventorCAM. As with all packages though, we see glitches but they get them fixed pretty quickly (not much different than SW or Autodesk). You should definitely look up your local resseller and check it out. I think you would like what you see. There are some nice advantages to the integration between Inventor and InventorCAM. You can also check out the InventorCAM Professor videos at:

I use Inventorcam and I am quite pleased with its results. I have used surfcam, bobcad, mastercam, delcam powermill, and featurecam. There are features in some of these that I miss, but then I learn a new way to tackle an old problem just about every time I use It. I get excellent support from the east coast distributor, they have made the transition very easy and informative.
