Question SolidCam 2007 with Solidworks 2008

Hi everyone!

I recently installed SolidCam 2007 R11.1 and was successfly connected to SolidWorks 2008 SP0 installed on my computer. The problem is when I try to open a new CAM part from and existing SolidWorks part, and error message pops up telling me that SolidWorks needs to restart to recover the files ... I don't know what does this mean. However, I restart and retry but the problem keeps happening.

Is this a solidcam problem or solidworks's?

I was told that SolidCam 2007 is not compatible with SolidWorks 2008. Another suggestion was to upgrade SolidWorks to SP1 or SP2 ... Any help from a SolidCam user? ... Or any other CAD software recommendation for my wire cut EDM machine?

Thanks in advance

I think this is a problem with SolidCAM R11.1 as I have had no problems using R11.2 with SolidWorks 2008.

SolidCAM R11.1 was very soon replaced by R11.2 and I am surprised that your reseller did not offer you R11.2.

Hi
I am new to SolidWorks 2008 ~~~~~ The tutorials that I have are 2006 -2007 Is there any way of changing 2008 command manager to look like 2006 - 2007 (look alike ??)
I think the command manager 2006 - 2007 seems easier and more user frendly than 2008 (I guess it is similar to acad2007 which I am familiar with)

Thanks
