Hello,

What version of SolidCAM are you running?
Are you service packs up to date?
Are you running a network dongle and the "nethasp.ini" file is up to date.

I have seen this error myself when I installed SolidCAM 11.1 SP0 (it turned out to be a SolidWorks thing). Your reseller should be able to help you on this.

Yes it is! Upgrade to SP2 asap. SP0 was a complete dog but SP2 is a good stable system (it is what I was using for production up until last Wednesday). Vista is also a problem as both SolidWorks and SolidCAM recommend XP Pro.

The SP's are available on the SolidCAM website (http://www.solidcam.com/) and go to the DOWNLOADS page, log in and it is yours.

There are issues with XP 64, SolidWorks 64 and V11.1, SolidCAM V11.2 has been out for a while (now at SP2.1) this (I believe) can run on 64 bit architecture but SolidCAM are still saying to stick with 32 bit software until Version 12 comes out sometime in Q1 next year. Personally, I will not be moving over to V12 until at least SP1.

Yes, I think Vista is the source of the problem. Can you dual boot on your machine?

SolidCAM V11.2 is now up to Service Pack 3.

Get in touch with your reseller as you may need a new dongle.

SolidCAM does not support vista and 64 bits windows for now. You should install windows xp for SolidCAM.

Same problem under XP PRO

Hi everyone!

I have the same problem, which I encounter when opening a saved part.
Running SolidCAM 11.1 SP0.0. Why? A "safety copy" is hard to update, but that´s something I have to live with.

I have actually made an inquiry to SolidWorks, since I like the program (s) a lot!

Best regards/D
