ToolPath too Complicate

Hi! I'm just trying SolidCam 2011 but why the toolpath is so complicate? even for this extremely simple 2.5 milling part... I'm just using open pocket contour stategy. No way to optimize it?

I'm no expert, but that looks pretty typical to me for most CAM systems.

I supposed you tried a different step over. Be carful though , if you cut with more that half of the end mill, it can leave corners exposed inside of the pocket.
