    ISO post processing

    Greetings y'all!
    I have 1 simple question.
If I generate ISO code with some post processor in SolidCAM...
Whether it will be understood by any machine that supports ISO code?

    For example...
Heidenhain TNC 620 control unit supports both ISO an Heidenhain conversational format code.
Can I generate code for TNC620 in ISO format with some other ISO pp (4 example "Fanuc")?

Your response is welcome, but still I would like to see more replays to my question. I hope that other members who post replay will give me similar answer.

    I'm waiting... xD

The geometry code such as G1, G2, G3 etc. is laid down in the standard (though there are variations) but the code will have machine specific codes that need to be defined in your post processor. For example, how is tool change handled? What turns through tool coolant on? All these sorts of things will be specified in your machine tools manual.
