Howto side mill with 5x milling ?

Look at the "Tool Axis Control" page of 5 Axis Milling, set Tool Axis Direction to "Tool tilted relative to cutting direction" and then set the lean angle to 90° (or -90° depending on how your geometry is set up).

SolidCAM 2010 has a 5 Axis setting (top left corner) for "Swarf Milling" - this sets a lot of the parameters for side milling as default
